We offer curbside delivery, or our local delivery service can bring animals to a public location (like a mall or pet store) near your home for easy pickup.

Travel Arrangements

  • How many cages do I need?
This depends on which animals you have selected. We will let you know what configuration you can place them in, but typically the rules are as follows:
    Medium Carrier- 1-4 mice
Large Carrier- ~ 1-6 mice or 1-2 young rats
If you have more rats, or older rats, they may need a different type of carrier with more ventilation and space. These are available upon request or as needed.
  • What animals can travel together?
    Female mice can travel together.
Male mice must travel alone or with breeding age females (2-8 months) if traveling to a breeder home (no exceptions).
Rats of both genders can travel with same gender companions.
A male rat may travel with one or more female rats if they are going to a breeder home, all animals are at least 3 months of age, and the females are no older than 10 months.
  • Can you hold animals for me?
Yes, please see our rules and requirements for holds on our policy page here.
  • Will you breed a large number of animals just for me since I am placing a large order?
We do our best to make animals available for interested parties if we're given at least 2 months notice and can make appropriate pairings. Unfortunately we are limited on space, so we can't produce large numbers of animals. Most of our adoption rounds include 20-30 animals. For this reason we're unable to meet large shipment requests, but you're welcome to remain on our adoption list as long as you like and request repeat deliveries as needed.
  • Is delivery safe for the animals?
We only use carefully vetted ground transport services or transport the animals ourselves. The person doing the shipment meets us and we personally hand the animals off to the driver who regularly checks on the animals and provides food and water along the trip as they drive them to their adoptive families.  This is the safest way we have found to transport our animals over long distances and the least stressful for them.
